To be Muslim is cool

It's cool to be a Muslim. A full-time one.

It's a wonder why people choose to embrace hedonistic belief while the beauty of Islam is never yet to be discovered.

Please discover Islam. We haven't learned enough about it. Stop indulging on those trivial matters. Stop listening to the media. But a media that preaches good things is an exception.

A friend expressed her dissapointment with Malaysian TV shows nowadays. it's tempting to watch but in a away it teaches and influences people to think those who use feet to walk are the abnormal ones while the ones who walk on their hands is the usual ones. The type of people that everyone should be. Actually we are referring to a scene in one of the shows on TV3, "Dunia Baru Kami" which portrayed the anger of a mother in a fun way (orang alim kata orang Melayu, wear tudung labuh and a dakwah activist) when she discovered that his son is singing at a gig. We are not happy with the scene because they make it look like as if the mother is the weird one for not allowing such behaviour of his son. And they made the scene as something to be laughed at. Mereka tak sedar mereka yang berjalan dengan tangan tapi gelakkan mereka yang berjalan betul dengan menggunakan kaki.

I know it's the time when people arent able to distinguish between the truth and false. That's why we need Quran as guidance. I really think that it is a pity that we can memorise things for exams but never we want to look for what is inside the Quran. The words from God. It's not worth reading thousands of books while never we want to think about the verses in this Miraclous book. In order to be able to know of the truth start reflecting on Quran.

(Some said that to read and interpret the meaning of Quran needs a teacher so that we can avoid the devils from being the one that teach us, but I discovered in a talk that this teaching actually derived from Christianity. Not Islam. It's good to have a teacher to teach us about the meaning of the Quran but that doesnt mean having no teacher at all should stop us from reflecting on the Quran as Allah firmans that Al-Quran is made to be easy for remembrance and understanding.)
